Quick Note

Have you noticed the font size changes going on from blog to blog? What's up with that? I think I went back and fixed it. Sorta. Weird.

Well, I know you were wondering so I will end the suspense... Our next book club book will be...

Just came yesterday and the cover is all holographic and shiny-like. Ooooo!

A synopsis – "Of course, you are older, a woman now.... Still, I'd know you anywhere."

A cryptic letter from death row shatters Eliza Benedict's peaceful summer with her family, and forces her to face her long-buried past. Walter Bowman, the man who kidnapped Eliza the summer she was fifteen and kept her hostage for weeks, spots her picture in a local magazine and reaches out to her to make amends before his execution.

I'd Know You Anywhere
is a tremendous novel about fear, manipulation, and survival. Award-winning author Laura Lippman unfurls Eliza's story in tightly-written chapters alternating from present day to that horrifying summer of 1985, creating an emotionally complex drama that is as riveting as it is ultimately rewarding.

It looks goooooood. And creepy.

So what else has been going on?

After the chicken florentine, we built the biggest Jenga tower in the WORLD

Which lasted about 2.5 seconds

I've also gotten very into my cast iron skillet that my mama got me for Christmas. I've been using it to cook chicken because my grill pan makes way too much smoke. And it's too cold to open up all the doors to air it out. It has been fantastic and speaking of...

Roasted cauliflower. Hello.
Alrighty. That brings us up to speed for today. Until next time, Bubblelanders.
