Pretty! As you can see from the pic above, I also got a fabulous new app for my phone that has different filters that make pictures look cool and moody. So, until I'm sick of it, all my pics are going to be cool and moody. I am also cool and moody personally. Partially because I'm under a draft and partially because I'm getting a sinus headache.
Sweet Grass was tasty but I was a little disappointed in the ambiance. It wasn't as Midtown funky inside as, say, Iris. And the tables are practically on top of each other so we got an earful of other people's conversations. Eh, food was good though and I - almost - got The Husband to stare into my eyes with love and the promise of tomorrows.
The rest of the day was filled with friends over. Football for the fellas and fun food-times in the kitchen for us ladies.
Yesterday, on my delicious Monday off, I joined Costco. I formerly patronized the West Memphis Walmart. Now Wally World ain't the fanciest joint, I know, but low prices and the lower Arkansas tax made it worth the drive when in need of toilet paper, detergent, and shampooy-type things. WELL, NO MORE. Plus? I HATE YOU, WALMART.
Hey, Walmart, why don't you spend a little money on your staff and make sure you have the appropriate number of checkout lanes open on a Saturday? Last time I was there I waited over half an hour in line. All because you had only TWO lanes open on what I imagine is one of your busiest days of the week. Now I'll drive longer and pay a membership fee just to avoid putting a single dollar in your pocket!!! (Except when I go home and visit my parents because I've decided to think of that as supporting local business... And there's not a Target.)
Maybe I should be more specific and clarify that I hate WEST MEMPHIS Walmart?
{I wrote a much longer rant but deleted. I think you get the drift.
That and I was starting to sound like a nut.}

Anyhoo, Costco rocks! I got checked out immediately and shouldn't need to buy paper towels any time soon in the next year. Although I will have to make a few separate small trips to the grocery store. I don't need a 2 gallon jug of mayo or vat of chicken broth.
Guess I'll sign off now... I'm too cool and moody for my own good today. But hey, I'm not the only one....
