Gosh, I love the summer.
So what's going on today, Internet? It's your Wednesday but my Thursday. Yayyyyy! I'd planned on taking a little road trip this weekend but it fell through. So I'm staying here in the M-Town and still going to make it a 4 day weekend. Thought about working but then thought, why would I want to do that?
Friday, I'm going to have lunch with Lady B and plant some flowers in the back of the house. Where I imagine they will shrivel up and die. Or at very least be trampled by dogs. We will see though.
Some people stress-eat, I stress-buy-flowers. I had a tiddly-wink of a day yesterday and all I could think about was walking around Home Depot's garden section. Mmmm, it was just the shot of pretty I needed. 'Course while I was there is starting thundering and sprinkling. But that's ok because now I have a project for my 4 Day Staycation. (Urgh, why did I say that? I hate "staycations'. Sorta like I hate "chillaxing". Really grinds my gears. )
I made a list of things to do last night and it was a little ridonkle long. I have no desire to clean my house all weekend. (Or paint the bedrooms in our house. And yet I put it on the list. The level of detail that goes into my kidding myself is amazing.) Anyhoo, not that the house is "dirty" so much as it's just the nature of the beast. Especially if you've got the rolling tundras of animal hair. Cuz yeah, The Husband needs a haircut... Kidding!
Tonight is the big American Idol finale. And by "big" I just hope it's not the big snooze-fest the last part of the season has been. These final 2 are good but they lack giving the old Billy Flynn razzle-dazzle,-razzle-dazzle-'em. I have friends that I've seen karaoke with WAY more dazzle. But going to enjoy it with Lady B and her gaggle of animals so it should be a good time.
Doesn't even matter if the show is good. Lady B is making shrimp scampi and and I'm excited. A) I love shrimp and B) I love scampi. (I was once a young scamp as a child.) Yesterday, I had a big bowl of broccoli for dinner so I'm really going to be moving up in the world tonight. (I cooked the broccoli with some soy sauce, ginger, garlic etc. so it was sort of a stir-fry. But that still doesn't beat the fact that that I ate a big bowl of broccoli for dinner.)
Alrighty, well, guess I'll sign off here, Internet. Don't have much today and no pictures makes this post feel a little dry to me. Oh, wait...
This was lunch... So seriously, bring on the scampi! Happy Hump Day, Internet.
They are a gaggle aren't they...gah can't wait to get rid of the one that is not ours!!!!!
