It was fine. But I messed up... As Julia Child said "You should never apologize at the table. People will think, 'Yes, it's really not so good".
Lesson learned, Julia.
(And I love you.)
Little dinner get-together last night. Lotsa fun. Sugarbear played with a new friend. But I'm not going to post any pictures of them because my dad has viciously accused me of using this blog as a forum for posting pictures of my dog.
Kidding! I forgot to take pictures.
But he's right. So, for Sugarbear, I will renaming this blog "Sugarland".
But I'm not a country duo so Bubbleland remains. And will live forever! Bwahahahaaaaaaa.
Today's a little weird. It's so beautiful outside but had such an annoying start to it. My cat was trapped and injured under the house so I was late to work.
Except my cat was completely fine. She just didn't come out when I fed her so I imagined the worst because she ALWAYS runs out when I feed her and is completely all over me when I haven't. I think she's playing mind games with me. And winning.
I won't even get into the door knob situation. Husband, get on that. Please?
Ahhh, the Internet. Best forum to publicly bother your spouse.
You know what else is annoying and all up in everyone's faces right now... All these cheater-pants running around. Tiger, you're a mess. And Jesse James, how could you do that to Sandra Bullock?
I love Sandra Bullock. Let's see... What was the first movie I saw her in? Love Potion #9, maybe? NO, I think it was The Thing Called Love? (Reminds me... That movie is good. I need to watch it again.) I think I'm one of the few people that has never seen Speed. And I don't think that's a bad thing.
Top 5 favorite Sandy movies in no particular order –
- The Proposal – One of the newer ones of hers. A lot funnier than I expected. Ryan Reynolds. Betty White. What more do you need?
- While You Were Sleeping - I've watched this, ohhhh, probably a billion-kazillion times. A charmer every time.
- Murder By Numbers – Seen a katrillion times. And although I own it, like Brown Sugar, I must watch it every time it comes on FX or whatever. Costarring a young Ryan Gosling as bonus.
- Hope Floats - What's that? Yeah, seen a bazillion times. Only time I've really enjoyed Harry Connick Jr. Don't dislike him. He's just... There. But he's such a sweet Southern gentleman in that movie. Love it.
- Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood – Yaya!
Yes, Internettie. The Blind Side did not make my list. Although I enjoyed it and appreciate her Oscar win, the other movies on this list are a big part of my movie-fiber. (Good for your health!) So Sandra Bullock, today, I salute you. You really seem like a genuinely nice, funny person in a sea of fake celebrities. I feel like you, me, and Reba could have a great weekend girlfriends brunch.
Creepy? Maybe. I've got to stop thinking I know people, like, for realsies.
Alrighty. Signing out. Keep a sense of humor out there, 'Nettie.
