“This must be Thursday. I never could get the hang of Thursdays.”

Two points if you know where that quote is from, Internet.

Eh, you'd probably just Google it. (Douglas Adams, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy)

In the elevator earlier today, this lady asked me "Is this Thursday?" And I had to think about it.

That Monday snow has messed everyone up.

I'm SO ready for the 3 day weekend. (This 4 day week has exhausted me already.) My friend, Bliz, and I have big plans for Presidents day. We're going to brunch. Then to the antique mall. And going to top it all off, we're going to hit the movies! Big day... So it will probably snow and ruin all that because that's just how my week is going.

I was looking at my pictures I posted earlier in the week. Why do they look so pink? Raw lookin' meat and pink snow up in here.

So for the upcoming Book Club, we're going to be bringing appetizers. Appetizers are delicious but they're always so bad for you. Cream cheese and sour cream and cheese and cheese and cheese. So I tried to make a healthier version of some the other night.

Jalapenos stuffed with 2% cheese and wrapped in turkey bacon

Sliders with lean meat made on the Foreman and served on wheat rolls

Lightly breaded and fried shrimp with buffalo & honey BBQ dipping sauces. Hey, they can't all be healthy.

I'm sure the color's not coming through at all on those pictures. Bah. I give up.

There was a big discussion at work yesterday about turkey bacon not being any better for you than regular bacon. I must do research into this. I always thought turkey just HAD to be better for you. But now, other than the sodium issue, I'm just not sure anymore. And you can get low sodium bacon.

Anyhoo...

Big Valentine's day weekend coming up for all you lovebirds out there. Since I'm an old married lady now, I'm going to sit around like a big ole trash heap and see if The Husband still looks at me with love in his eyes.

Just kidding. I'll put on my good pajamers and we'll probably get Applebee's take-out or something.

Sigh... I can't decide if that's lame or great.

Keep it warm, Internet. It's a cold world out there. I hope you have someone special to share it with. And if you do, don't forget a gift.
