Well, the first Monday in November is biting the dust as we speak. Man, waking up to daylight really made a difference in the day.
What a great weekend! Tryko (and Brooksie's) party was wonderful Saturday night. Good friends, good fun, and adults dressed in costumes. Always funny.
The husband, Mr. Panda, was Mr. Popular in the neighborhood when we walked to the party from our house. (And how great is it that we have friends in walking distance? Well, I'll tell you – super-great!) Apparently, a panda sighting is a rare thing and must be yelled at. A group of sorority girls even chased him down for a group pic since pandas are their mascot. (By the way, girls, in the future you best back off the panda. He's mine. I can't "bear" to share him. Heh.) –And there was a return of Mr. Banana Pants this weekend as well –
The picture above is like when you see pigs on signs for bbq places... Just ain't quite right.
Those pics are actually from the Clement's party the week before Halloween but I was taking pictures with a disposable camera this weekend so I have no digital documentation. Ha, I wish people dressed like endangered animals and fruits all the time.
I cooked some Chicken Piccata this weekend. What a fun thing to make... Cooking with wine makes me feel classy and sophisticated. (Like I have bookshelves that smell of rich mahogany.) –Hmmm, I think it might have tasted better than that pic is. Served with wheat rolls, carrots, and garlic bacon mashed red potatoes –
The kitchen is a mess again though... The never ending cycle.
So far, this week and weekend are looking quiet. It seems like it's been non-stop crazy since the wedding. (In a fun way.) But it will be nice to just take it easy and just do whatever. And there are some things (towels) that I've been putting off doing that might actually get done (roasting a chicken with Tryko).
Tomorrow night is the Tigers first exhibition! Yayyyy. But I'll be in attendance elsewhere because it's also Brittney's Southern Living get-together. I can't wait. New paint colors at the Otey Abodey and I can't wait to see them! And of course, enjoy the good company. I've never been to a Southern Living party so I'm interested to see what that's all about. I'm obsessed with decorating the house so I'm going to have to make sure and not spend all me money.
Until the morrow, Internet. Keep it classy. And stay ready for your closeup.
