If you Fall, I will catch you... No, seriously. Fall. Fall now?

Yo, yo, Bubbleland. Is it Fall yet? I'm so tired of heat. I'm want to wear tights and sweaters and jackets and boots and gloves and scarves. And not sweat my face off on the walk from the parking garage to work.

Sigh. We got that short reprieve a week or two ago and the high today is 73º. 73º!!!!!!! It's like a big ole weather tease cuz you know it's going to be weirdly warm in October.

I haven't been doing much cooking. Getting a lot of turkey and pork tenderloins for quick meals. BUT about 2 weeks ago my friend T & I made a feast that was pic worthy. We walked the dogs, made a delicious healthy meal, and watched Jumping the Broom. (Cuz that's what girls do... Support the making of bad chick flicks! In case you ever wonder why they keep making those things.)

Girls gone grillin'.
Tuna Steaks
Squash & Onion Kabobs with Cavender's
Asparagus
Eggplant
Mushrooms
And a Greek Yogurt Dill Sauce to dip anything and everything
Yum.

It was veggielicious.

Oh, yeah. And I've gone from being scared of salmon and making it never-ever to making it all the time. It's almost as easy as a pork loin!

Hello, gorgeous fishy fish

While I'm on the topic of food, one more thing? The Hubs & I went all Man vs Food and headed out for BBQ last Friday. I think he was shocked because I actually suggested it. Don't get me wrong, I love BBQ but it's not usually my go-to for restaurant suggestions. But sometimes you just need a big ole meat party.

The ribs were good and I found a terrifically bad type-o on the menu. (They spelled their OWN name wrong!) Both of which gave me a fit of glee.

The whirlwind continued last weekend. And it was an especially terrific whirlwind. There was a 30th birthday surprise party for one of my buddies from high school and we had a full house with my high school friends. I miss them. I hugged their faces. And then they were all 'we miss you too - stop being creepy'.

Ok, that's pretty much all I've got for now. I'm ready for things to slow down a tad. Not that the last couple weeks haven't been fun, but I'd really like to have a lazy day and cook Sunday dinner again. Not that my husband deserves it. He broke up with me in a dream last night and then tried to give me a basket of lemons from the farmer's market. Like that makes up for breaking up with me? Somewhere in there though, I was the happy recipient of a new shower head with wonderful water pressure. It was the only thing that consoled me after being so sadly dumped.

Yeah. Look THAT up in a dream dictionary.

It was one of those really vivid dreams and I'm still a little sad about it. I need a happy.

My babies

Ok. That's better. Have a great rest of the week, Bubbleland! And remember, when life hands you lemons, throw them on some fish and you got yo self a meal!
