ENTRY#1
Hello, Bubble-peeps!
In my mind, all you lovelies look like this.
Yes, I'm looking at you, Dad.
So, I made a list of Best/Worst wings for your hungry enjoyment...
I hope you ate it up.
Have you had time to digest it?
I really took a bite out of that blog.
It wasn't too much to swallow, was it?
Ok, I'm done. And I wasn't even kidding. The Hubs and went and got some Buffalo Wild Wings right about, ohhhhh, 5 minutes after I hit the "publish post" button on the wing list. I tried their dry rub – Desert Heat. Pretty good! No Caribbean Jerk but, hey, the bar was pretty darn high.
I really enjoyed making that list so I thought I'd it would benefit all you Bubblers for a Round#2-o-Lists-o-Fun. For your enjoyment:
Best TV Shows for Both Sexes to Enjoy while "Real" TV is on Hiatus
The Husband and I definitely are not on the same page when it comes to a lot of stuff on the TV box. I like all things Bravo. Top Chef, Work of Art, your Housewife series. The formerly Bravo, now Lifetime, Project Runway. I also enjoy some of your more Jerry Springer-esque reality shows. Jersey Shore, Teen Mom, Bridezillas, type of nonsense. Love it. The Hubs, understandably, not so much. It definitely rots the brain. Eh, but you don't really miss it once it's gone... You just smile and rock back and forth in your seat. I acknowledge this. I also draw comparison of "my stories" are to him what football is to me.
Yeah, Bubbleland. I HATE FOOTBALL.
Whatever. I asked The Husband to better educate me on the finer points of the game and he took a pass. And that, my friends, is why the official sport of Bubbleland is figure skating.
Kidding!
We don't have a Bubbleland official sport. Sillies.
But seriously, I do like basketball. That's my jam. That and blackberry. Either are good on toast.
Alrighty, there are a couple shows on right now that I think most people like, regardless of gender:
- The Office
- How I Met Your Mother
- 30 Rock
- Big Bang Theory
And then you have the reruns that are similarly crowd friendly:
- Seinfeld
- Saved by the Bell
- America's Funniest Home Videos
- Cheers
If you haven't checked these out, Hubs and I enjoyed watching these together on DVD:
- Arrested Development
- Freaks and Geeks
Eh? You agree? Well, the summer months hit and the regular shows go on hiatus. We didn't really have a our fall backs so we were left to either find some new shows or watch baseball.
I love this show. The biggest, greasiest, most bad for you delicious food, Adam Richman will go find and eat it for you. Here in Memphis, he's visited The Rendezvous, Gus's Chicken, and yesterday's aforementioned Kooky Canuck big ole burger challenge.
How is he not 500 lbs?
He's exuberant and fun. The food always looks yummy and it's fun to see food places in different states. And who doesn't like food? Especially if it's gooey and cheesy?
#3. Pawn Stars (The History Channel)
Who would think it would be so interesting seeing people pawn their stuff? I would never have thought it would be so fascinating. A huge pawn shop in Vegas that's run by grandpa, son, & grandson, you see a crazy variety of things brought in. And then the suspense, is it real?? There are a lot of old firearms. A Civil War bugle, an original John Deere tractor, an Old West gambler's toolkit... It's all over the place. And you get a payoff. If it's not in great shape (barber's chair), they'll fix it up and show you the finished product. (My main complaint about American Pickers. They buy junk and you never see it not look like junk.) Good times for all!
I was also going to recommend Swamp People and Top Shot. Really, The History Channel was bringing the noise this summer. Loved it.

Monday, made some chicken on the grill.
Tuesday, Mexican food.
Wednesday, oh... Who cares.
I'm tired, Bubbleland. I'm tired fo

Yup. That was it. Apparently I was too tired to even finish typing that last sentence there.
ENTRY #3
Couple random thoughts of neither here nor there...
- I almost poured coffee in my oatmeal and hot water in my creamer this morning.
- Today I forgot to put on my mascara. I realized in a meeting and had an urge to hide my face cuz I felt nekkid.
- Walking to get some lunch today, I realized that my shadow looked like Cousin it... Yikes.
- The word "yes" looks funny if you stare at it too long. Especially all caps "YES".
So, I would say I'm going for quantity, not quality with this post. A "lost footage" episode if you will. (Those clip shows are always a disappointment.) I just wanted to get something out, my loyal Bubblelanders, to let you know I was thinking about you. (Even if I didn't proofread this here mess.) And for no reason has anyone bursted our bubble.
Reminder, I made no promises any of this would make sense.
Looking forward, big things on the horizon! My parents are coming in town tomorrow for a fabulous visit. After church on Sunday, I'll be making lunch for them and The Husband's Parents. Fingers crossed everything is edible!
Monday is supposed to be 72ยบ so there's hope for me leaving the house and doing something that might be interesting enough to post pictures of here. Maybe? Maybe!
And tonight I'm meeting the girls for some wings.
Yes. Apparently all I do is talk about or eat wings.
Things could be worse.
Which reminds me, next week, I'll give you a talk about "Real" food vs "food products". Book Club read In the Defense of Food by Michael Pollan and it really changed how I think about food. We're brainwashed, Bubblers, brainwashed, I say!!!
Should be fascinating.
Alright. This is all over the place so I'm just going to stop now. Have a great weekend, Bubbleland. I'll be back next week. And until then, you're always in my thoughts. Awwwwww.
