You say tomato... I say nothing cuz my mouth is full of tomatoes

I got my first grape tomatoes off the vine this morning!

I picked them.
I washed them.
I popped them in my mouth.

Delish. Ous. I have high hopes for the grapes for salads and grilling. The bigger ones are on their way and I'm thinking I'm going to have to do fried green tomatoes this summer. Not that The Husband will eat them so that might be for company. Or just myself. Really, it will just depends on how much I like people that day. The world might not deserve fried green tomatoes!

So that was a great way to start the morning. And then I walked out the door.

I'm the king of the mountain... Of dirt

Yeah, I think the city decided that our front yard would be a good place to put in a neighborhood pool or something. They blocked off the street and I couldn't get out of the driveway for all the trucks. I have no clue what they're doing. I just hope it's gone with minimal damage when I get home. Although this is Memphis so... Doubtful.

Had a great night last night watching Game #4 of the NBA finals with the Hubs and friends. Glad to see the Celtics win. Although, honestly, I don't really care that much. As I'm sure, Internet, you're not surprised to hear.

Tonight, we're going out to dinner. Tomorrow, we're going to see some of The Husband's family and then dinner with my parents. Looking forward to it, Mom & Dad! Then Sunday evening is, of course, book club. So big weekend. Huge, you might say. And more rain expected. The tomatoes will be happy. And when the tomatoes are happy, I eat them. Hey, it's a cruel world out there... If they had a stronger will to live maybe they wouldn't end up on my salad.
