Spring forward... Fall in a hole

Sometimes, I'd like to move and start all over again. It would be fun. New place, new people. People that haven't heard all your jokes and don't hate you for simply because they've known you for too long. Spring cleaning for my LIFE.

But then I remember how I hate to move and change my mind. (Plus, I think good lemongrass tofu is harder to find than you'd hope.)

It's a weird mood today, Internet. Come along for the ride.

Let me start with a declaration – the iPhone is the best creation in the entire world. There are apps for Old Time Radio Shows. My firewalls at work recently blocked me – again – off my iTunes radio and I can no longer listen to Suspense in the morning, Jack Benny in the afternoon, and Detective Tuesdays. Whyyyyy? I try to be a good person. I try to let people over if they turn their blinker on. I say hi to my neighbors but don't get in their business. And when people are sick, I send them an e-card. This all, to me, says GOOD PERSON.

But why am I fussing? I've got the apps. Burns & Allen for days. All the Philip Marlowe the heart could desire. And more I'm not even familiar with.

Anyone still reading?

Odd thing happened last week. Someone put a vacation hold on our mail. Someone who is not us. We saw her name... It's like Shantaya or something. Is that me? Is that The Husband? No on both accounts. How can the United States Postal Office be so easily lead astray?

Eh, never mind... I've watched every episode of Cheers. They make all those postal service jokes about Cliff for a reason. The TV box wouldn't lie!

Example 1 – Cliff Clavin
Example 2 – Newmannnn

There's a banner to pick up – lack of postal worker representation on television. We have nothing left to believe but incompetence.

Big weekend coming up. Book club is meeting to discuss my pick. Baby shower. AND the most exciting event ever for man or beast or manbeast... Sugarbear's turning 1! She and her similarly-April-born friend, Nellie, are having a joint birthday/cookout. We are going to have hot dogs and hamdogs. And I might dress the dog up like a princess!

Oh, no... It's like I've fulfilled my crazy cat lady destiny with the dog.

Dang it.

Hoping to make some time for a little more gardening too. Bah. It's Tuesday and I'm already on weekend time. We're way closer to last weekend...

Planted herbs. From seeds. I feel like it's like planting paperclips but we'll see.

Planters ready for action.

Will I remember to water this? Yes. But it's up high so my laziness may kill them anyways... Shhh, they have no idea.

Planter that I will water.

Already a successfully growing some cement.

And the dog looked like this for most of the weekend because the neighbor across the street got a new roof.

Neighborhood watch. Until she falls off the chair.

A birthday shout-out to a friend of Bubbleland. (Not that he reads this but because he and his lovely wife have watched our dog now several times.) So Mr. Trey Abodey, happy birthday to you! I hope your upper twenties leave you as young & good lookin' as they've left me. Fingers crossed but you can't bottle magic.

Alright, Internettie. Get out there and do something. The world is asking for it. But if you're too tired for that – Glee and Top Chef Masters are both back. Yay!
