Ima "Fancy" lady

Internet... Do you know what tomorrow is? Only the biggest day of my LIFE!!!

Well, except for the whole getting married thing. And buying the house. And the dog. And last Christmas was pretty good...

I've got tickets The Fantastical Husband bought me for Christmas.

To see Reba.
McEntire.
IN CONCERT.

I don't care what type of music you like. Because Reba transcends it. Her comedic timing in Reba the TV show was perfection. Her general angelic quality is just a huge gift to us as a people.

As you can see, I love her and am thinking about semi-stalking her after the show.

Reba was one of the first tapes I ever got. I think it was Whoever's in New England, maybe? I remember that cassette cover so clearly. (But I can't check back because when I google-boxed it, I could only find cd covers.) That was definitely blondish Reba though.

But my personal favorite time period is big-haired Reba.

I bet there's a Reba-sized ozone hole from all the Aquanet that went into that 'do

Country's Curious George

Some of my favorite Reba songs you ask? Well, if that isn't the Sophie's Choice of music questions... I'm going to bypass the obvious choices (Is There Life Out There, The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia, etc.). So if I had to chose, in a very particular order, here are my Top 5 –

5. I Wouldn't Go That Far
4. And Still
3. Walk On
2. Read My Mind
1. Fancy

I know Fancy is, like, THE most well known Reba song. But whatever. It's my list. And I'll cheat if I wanna.

Obviously, Reba is like a fine wine and only gets better with age.

Seriously... She just isn't aging. I refuse to believe a plastic surgeon has ever touched that face.

So... This post is a little crazy-creepy at this point, huh? Well, you can just shut up, Internet! It's not like I have a lock of hair/Reba shrine in my closet. My love of Reba is one of the few pure things in this messed up, crazy world we live in!

Oh, and Leanne Womack and George Strait will be there tomorrow night too. Just FYI.

Get a good night sleep tonight, Internet... Tomorrow's a big day!!

  1. I'm not a country music fan, but I am a big-time Reba fan. I saw the concert in Baltimore and I know you're going to have an AWESOME time.
