Good day to you, Internet! Sleep ok?
Last night, the Tigers lost. And the Grizzlies lost. And I made a disgusting appetizer. So I lost too and there was sadness all around. Especially the kitchen's. It cried for what I did to it.
But whatever... I'm just moving on, full-steam. Bigger things are on the horizon! I will be validating myself with Mom's famous red beans & rice for the Cajun potluck on Saturday. Can't wait. To eat it.
Tonight is Project Runway. A couple days ago I tried to find a recommendation spot on the Lifetime website to talk up my Thanksgiving Challenge idea. After much searching, I've come to realize that Lifetime doesn't care what we, the viewers, think. So BOO on YOU, Lifetime! I bet Bravo had a spot for that. Yeah, I said it.
Speaking of the Lifetime station, Pregnancy Pact (an original Lifetime movie) is coming on Saturday. Based on the true story that happened in 2008, 17 girls at Gloucester High School in Massachusetts were expecting babies. Half the expecting students, none older than 16, confessed to making a pact to get pregnant and raise their babies together. And they made that into a movie.
I remember when all that happened and I was slightly fascinated by the whole thing. Like really, girls? That's what you want to do? Get pregnant at 15 or 16, not married, educated or even fully grown, still living with your parents. And seriously, seriously, this seemed like a good idea to you? Bet things are looking a whole lot different now, ya dum-dums.
Woh... I just got that saying "youth is wasted on the young".
Anyhoo, the DVR is set. I'm expecting a range of emotions because Lifetime brings the drama every time.
So, obviously, it's gonna be like a totally big weekend. Cajun food and a little date with the DVR. Wooooooo! I should contain my excitement. After all, it's only Thursday.
So pace yourself, Internet. There's still plenty of time for you to grow up. (And make sure you don't eat too fast while you're at it.)
